SUMA – A1061588
Safe - 1-5-2016 Manhattan
***SAFE 1/5/16 ***SUMA is a lovely lady who has been given an EXPNOCHILD rating from the shelter, on account of her defensiveness in their “care.” Anyone who knows anything about what they do to animals at the ACC, will know that SUMA is not wrong to act defensively. That’s an entire organization that would rather kill cats than find homes for them, and SUMA is no fool! She is the sort of cat who usually blossoms into a charming companion once she feels safe and loved. Please advocate widely for SUMA tonight, to make sure she gets her chance!

12/30/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Suma looks tense in her cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Suma remains croiuched position in her cat den, alert with pupils dilated. Reaction to touch: Suma meow whines at the assessor’s hand, remains cautious with her surroundings and lip licks in place. However, she accepts the stroke while her eyes are wandering around. Placement determination: Experience / no child Suma tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
