06/30/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
As per previous owner, Suki is shy around strangers and takes a long time to warm up to new people. She lived with another cat and was aggressive towards them and start fights. Suki also spent some time with dogs and would hiss and swat at them. She’s described as being mellow, shy and loves to sleep under the bed. Reaction to assessor: Suki keeps her body lowered in the litter box with wide eyes focused on all movements. Reaction when softly spoken to: Suki makes eye contact and starts lip licking. Reaction to cage door opening: Suki remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Suki leans away as you approach her and flinches when touched. She closes her eyes as you pet her and continues to lip lick throughout the entire interaction. Her eyes are fixated on the assessor’s hand and slowly turns her head towards the wall avoiding contact. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Suki tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his or her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
