S/O: Cat is dull/depressed, growls when touched but does not attempt (and/or too weak) to move much
EENT – eyes appear sunken OU with darks crusts at medial canthus; inner pinna, sclera, and mm are all jaundice; crusty nasal discharge
Grade 1/4 dental dz
Heart/lungs auscult wnl
Offered small amount of wet food, cat sniffed and attempted to lick, but then stopped
A: Icterus, Dehydration, Emaciation, Anorexia
P: Gave 100mLs SQ LRS, 0.11mLs buprenorphine 0.5mg/mL buccally, and 0.3mLs Cerenia SQ
Will inform NH and giving deadline of 7pm tonight
Sugar is is four year old brown and white tabby. She was adopted from ACC and was with her owner for two years. She was surrendered due medical issues. She is described as friendly and affectionate.
Sugar has lived with two adults and is described as friendly. She is fearful around children and owner stated she will hide. She has never been around other cats or dogs. Sugar has never bitten another animal or person.
Sugar was not bathed or had her nails trimmed by owner. Sugar likes to be brushed and will struggle when placed in a carrier. She does not like to be held and will attempt to flee.
Sugar’s activity level is described as medium, she likes to play with mice toys in the home. She has been kept only indoors and likes to sleep everywhere. She uses an uncovered litterbox and pellets litter. She had a horizontal rope scratching post.
Upon intake Sugar was calm and had a relaxed body, counselor was able to scan(positive), collar and photograph.
