So why is it just now this Finder brought the 5 year old to a HIGH KILL SHELTER? She was said to be friendly around people, got along with the Finder’s dog and even under such circumstances, poor STELLA earned an AVERAGE RATING! STELLA has some lingual ulcers which are treatable and she has a good prognosis and an excellent appetite!! Help STELLA GET HER GROOVE BACK…FOSTER OR ADOPT HER TODAY!

Finder has seen Stella in the neighborhood for over a year and is able to interact with her. Finder described Stella as friendly and affectionate. Stella gets along well with the finders dog and relaxes with him. Stella loves to be pet and allows strangers to pick her up. During intake Stella was calm and curious. Stella came right out of the carrier and ate treats from the counselor. Stella enjoyed being pet and allowed to be scanned and collared. Stella had a loose body during intake and allowed to be picked up.

Stella was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. Her finder has seen her in their neighborhood for over a year and has been interacting with her. She was described as a friendly and affectionate cat, and gets along well with the finder’s dog. The finder reports she loves to be pet and allows strangers to pick her up. She was calm and curious upon intake and enjoys being pet. She was reported to be friendly during her initial medical exam. Reaction to Assessor: Stella was calm and relaxed by the front. Reaction when softly spoken to: Stella looks at the assessor with relaxed eyes. Reaction to cage door opening: Stella becomes alert and looks around. Reaction to touch: Stella remains in place and closes her eyes. She starts to knead afterwards and leans on her side for more petting. Reaction to being picked up: Stella remains calm and allows handling. Placement Determination: Average Stella interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
