STAFIE – A1068019
Safe - 4-2-2016 Brooklyn
**SAFE 04/02/16** STAFIE is a 2-years-young handsome boy whose shelter picture is quietly eye-catching. His downturned eyes and fluffy coat give Stafe the look of a stuffed toy, something a person instinctively wants to pick him up and cuddle him as they would have hugged a favorite toy, many years ago. Unless someone follows through on that impulse by foster/adopting Stafie, the consequences he faces tomorrow are horribly grim. This innocent, somewhat frightened boy will be lifted out of his cell and taken to the room where the cats are killed without any sedation. Please don’t let this good boy suffer that terrible fate. Please step up for Stafie, tonight!

He allows petting but is clearly uncomfortable Try picking cat up: Did not attempt Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Stafie was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment he was displaying fearful behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Remains motionless as I started to get closer but after a steady slow approach he relaxed a little. I was able to pet him and interact with him in a limited way. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents with no children.
