ENRICHMENT NOTES: 01/25/17
Right at front of the cage, alert (though seems a little dotty, charmingly so), and attentive. Stays right at the front when I open the cage door; allows me to give head rubs and petting all along his back; his tail did start to bush up and twitch a bit. Let me pick up and hold, seemed tense, but no real struggle. Clearly very hungry, seemed like his priority and focus, began immediately eating wet food I offered. Hissed and grumbled a bit while he was eating and I was interacting with the cat in the cage below his. Social cat, was friendly with me, may have limits, at least for now, on how much petting and handling he’ll tolerate.
MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: Friendly, calm, easy to handle.
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Mellow
VOCAL: Chatty
CHARACTER TYPE: Sweet, affectionate, easy going, gentle
BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Beginner

Appears to be much older than listed 1yo, may have some dental issues. Coat is dirty; he’s definitely been living outside for a while. Social cat, was friendly with me, may have limits, at least for now, on how much petting and handling he’ll tolerate; seems like a housecat that was dumped or abandoned and has been having to fend for himself on the mean streets for a while. Initial med exam pending.

Calm, relaxed, social, munching on some wet food and chirping as I softly talk to him at the front of his kennel. Stays calm and social when I open his cage door, appreciates and allows all petting, tail puffs up, but friendly. Allowed all handling, LOVES catnip! Really got into rolling around in it, had to move his food and water bowl to other side of kennel! Seems to be doing well. Defiitely a cat to root for, go Spikey!
