***SAFE 09/14/17*** SWEET BEGINNER KITTEN IS FELV POSITIVE AND NEEDS A RESCUE ANGEL TONIGHT!! SPICEY was originally brought to the ASPCA with a littermate who was sick. His sibling was euthanized and SPICEY was brought back to the ACC. He is only 2 months old and should probably be retested in the future. Very young kittens may retest negative after several months. SPICEY is a super sweet kitten who reaches out for attention and would make a wonderful kitty companion! MUST RESERVE HIM BY NOON!!

He was very friendly during intake and solicited attention, head-butting when touched. He allowed all handling to be conducted. MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: Observed Behavior – Bright and alert EVALUATION: Cage Condition: Cage is slightly re-arranged Reaction to assessor: Spicey immediately approaches the front and places his paw on the door, meowing softly. Reaction when softly spoken to: Spicey meows and reaches out, soliciting attention. Reaction to cage door opening: Spicey greets by the opening and remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Spicey head-butts and nudges the assessor with his nose. He leans in for petting and begins to purr. He continues to solicit attention throughout interaction. Reaction to being picked up: Spicey remains soft and continues to purr when held. ACTIVITY LEVEL: Moderate, Lively VOCAL: Somewhat chatty CHARACTER TYPE: Social, Affectionate, Playful BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Beginner Spicey interacts with the observer, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting.
