FIV POSITIVE
Hello, my name is Sparrow. My animal id is #17664. I am a male white cat at the Brooklyn Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 6 years old. – P
I came into the shelter as a stray on 05-Jan-2018.
Sparrow was placed at risk for testing positive for FIV(Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) and being diagnosed with an Upper Respiratory infection. FIV can be tolerated well by cats, but can eventually lead to debilitation of the immune system. The Upper Respiratory Infection will likely require home rest and a series of antibiotics for up to 14 days. These are both contagious illnesses to other cats.
My medical notes are…
