History : Subjective: PYOMETRA: thick voluminous vaginal d/c. very distended abdomen suggest very large pyo and or late term abortive pregnancy. Halotosis–must rule out systmeic disease also Observed Behavior – allows exam Evidence of Cruelty seen – n Evidence of Trauma seen – n Objective P = 160 R = wnl BCS 6/9 EENT: Eyes clear, ears clean, no nasal discharge noted Oral Exam: pale pink gums , halitosis PLN: No enlargements noted H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic ABD: large uterus palpable U/G: intact female. heavy purulent vaginal d/c MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities Assessment: pyoderma Plan: OHE asap, cbc/chem gave 47mg amoxiclav pio and 22.7mg enrofloxacin sq IV cath needed, will switch to ampiciilin Prognosis: fair SURGERY: Okay for surgery
Sooki was brought in as a stray so we cannot speak to her behavior in her former home. During intake, she was a little shy, but allowed all handling.

Reaction to assessor: Sooki rests on her bedding and looks at the assessor with soft eyes and body.
Reaction when softly spoken to: Sooki stands and comes to the front of the cage.
Reaction to cage door opening: Sooki remains soft and relaxed.
Reaction to touch: Sooki leans and arches into the stroke.
Reaction to being picked up: Sooki sits calmly in the assessor’s arms and looks around.
