Medical Summary DVM Intake Exam intact female Estimated age: 2 months Microchip noted on Intake? negative History : Stray cat that was rescued from the street. Person noted that she was not walking. Sneezing Subjective: Intact female kitten with trouble walking. Observed Behavior – Tolerant. Very vocal. Tries to walk but cannot hold her weight. Evidence of Cruelty seen – None Evidence of Trauma seen – None Objective P = 160 bpm BCS 4/9 EENT: Eyes yellow purulent discharge, ears clean, yellow nasal discharge noted Oral Exam: NAF PLN: No enlargements noted H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated U/G: intact female MSI: non ambulatory on the hind limbs, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities Radiograph- broken pelvis, fracture proximal to the head of the left femur Assessment uri non ambulatory on the hindlimbs Plan retake radiographs in a month. Place animal in a small crate Give pain medication 0.2 ml doxycyline sid po for 10 days erythromycin ointment BID OU for 10 days Isolation Foster is recommended. Prognosis: fair
