SAFE 2/8/18 Housemates Long-Haired White SNOW & Little Panther FLUFFY With URI Lived With Many Other Cats! NEEDS PLACEMENT ASAP! Underweight!
Snow 19886 – 3 yr. male white long haired cat:
Crouched in litterbox, body slightly tense and ears forward. Flinches as cage door opens and backs away, tail wrapping around body and face tensing. Nervous, needs more time to adjust.
Crouched in back of kennel, body and face tense and tail curled around feet. Makes eye contact, then looks around the room. He tolerates petting with the bear-claw briefly before retreating through his portal with a low body and tail. Not interested in treats at the moment. Needs more time to adjust.

History : Owner surrender – ongoing eviction case
Observed Behavior – Tense, nervous, does not allow petting/handling, will flee, examined in net
Evidence of Cruelty seen – no
Evidence of Trauma seen – no
EENT: Eyes clear, ears clean, mild mucoid nasal discharge, very mild crutsed ocular discharge noted
Oral Exam: Mild dental staining, pink mm – limited exam
PLN: No enlargements noted
H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic
ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated
MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, full but unkempt hair coat
CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities
Plan: Convenia 0.36ml SQ given for URI (other cats from this case have had signs of URI and haven’t been easy to medicate or eat medication in food)
