Intake condition ILLNESS Intake Date 10/11/2016, From NY 11234, DueOut Date , I came in with Group/Litter #K16-077591.
Medical Behavior Evaluation GREEN
Medical Summary 10/11/16 Microchip scan neg. O: BARH. mm=pink, moist, CRT<2 s. Social, allows all handling. ORAL: All decid teeth erupted. EENT: Mod. nasal congestion, clear nasal discharge, sneezing. OD – eye crusted shut, purulent discharge. OS – Globe buphthalmic and ruptured, purulent discharge, crusting around lids. H/L: Lungs clear. ABD/UG: Intact male. MS: Amb x 4. INTEG: Full, unkempt haircoat. A: Age est. 2 months. URI, Severe conjunctivitis with ruptured globe OS. P: Cleaned OU with warm water. OS – globe appears present but has marked chemosis so difficult to fully visualize. Gently removed as much crusting as possible from OD. Applied Terramycin ointment OU. Gave Amoxi-Clav 45.7 mg/ml 0.4 ml PO. Continue BID x 10 days. Continue terramycin BID x 10 days. Good prognosis overall, poor prognosis OD – will need enucleation.
