SKYLER – A1088511
Gone - 9-8-2016 Manhattan
***GONE 09/08/16 NEW HOPE RESCUE ONLY***Skyler is a 5 month tabby who is facing a terrible event in her short life. She was brought in as a stray and not given any chance at all. She’s just a baby but the A CC doesn’t see her that way. They expect her to purr and perform for them. Instead, Skyler retreated in her carrier afraid of the strange hand trying to get her out. They gave her a New Hope Rating because of her fear. Please get this little one safely out of this death chamber by applying to a New Hope partner to adopt or foster her tonight!

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Skyler looks tense, sitting upright on her cage bedding when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Skyler slowly retreats to the back, alert with eyes dilated. Reaction to touch: Skyler avoids contact and attempts to escape the cage when trying to pet. Placement determination: NH ONLY Skyler is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room. She is extremely fearful in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
