2 Pretty Kittens – Need some TLC – MUST BE PLACED BY 6PM!!Adorable kittens came to us with a kitty cold and are currently in ISO. They don’t appear to be eating much and our medical department does not feel they should stay at ACC and must be pulled by 6pm. They are tested for FeLv/FIV negative and Panleuk NEG.

H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupneic
ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated
U/G: MI
MSI: Ambulatory x 4, large amount of flea dirt, no masses noted, severely decreased skin turgor
CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities

diarrhea- R/O infectious vs dietary vs other; parvocite snap on intake negative
pale mm’s- R/O flea anemia vs poor perfusion vs other
fleas- given capstar at LVT intake
Prognosis: guarded

Start SQ LRS fluids 20 mls x 3 days
start metronidazole 10 mg PO BID x 7 days

Temporary waiver due to underweight and diarrhea
