08/27/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Simone was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. Reaction to assessor: Simone was curled up at the back of the kennel. Reaction when softly spoken to: Simone becomes alert, makes eye contact and hisses at the assessor. Reaction to cage door opening: Simone hisses and lip licks. Reaction to touch: Simone hissed upon approach and had a tense body when touched. She watches the assessor with wide eyes when touched along her body and she slowly moves away trying to avoid contact. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Simone tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his or her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
