Owner refused to provide any details about animal
Behavior during intake: Simba has a soft and relaxed body. Counselor was able to scan for a mc, collar and take a picture without any issues.

EENT: Eyes clear, ears clean, no nasal discharge noted
Oral Exam: Clean teeth mm pink
PLN: No enlargements noted
H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic
ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated
U/G: FS, green tattoo present
MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat, caudal 75% of tail missing at the end of remaining tail there is 1cm of granulation tissue
CNS: mentation appropriate, no signs of neurologic abnormalities
Rectal:
Assessment: Tail wound and missing tail
Plan:
Apply SSD and soft padded bandage to protect tip of tail
Convenia inj
Simbadol inj
E-collar
Recheck tail in 2-3 days
Potential for wound to heal via second intention, but if not improving then may need to consider amputation at a later date
Prognosis: Good
