07/25/16 16:51 BASIC INFO Sidney is a 7 month old female DSH cat. Her owner got her as a stray 6 months ago and surrendered her due to allergies. SOCIALIZATION Sidney is shy with new people for a few minutes. She had 8 and 13 year old children who visited her. She’s relaxed, affectionate, and tolerant with them. She plays exuberantly with adults and children. A small dog visited her and she was relaxed and respectful of him. They would spend time near each other and sometimes sniff each other. Sidney hasn’t bit/scratched anyone. BEHAVIOR Sidney is nervous in the car. She doesn’t mind being woken up. She cries and is nervous during nail trims. She’s nervous while brushed or put in a carrier. She is nervous when picked up and tries to jump away after a few seconds. FOR A NEW FAMILY TO KNOW Sidney’s family describes her as friendly, affectionate, playful, and high energy. She follows and sits next to her owner. She likes to rest in the rub and sink. She plays with balls, wand toys, the laser pointer, small objects, and boxes. She lived inside and slept on a cat condo. She ate dry Royal Canin food. She’s littertrained, used a hooded litterbox with clumping litter, and didn’t have accidents. She scratched vertical, rope-covered surfaces of her scratching post and a vertically handing carpeted scratch pad. INTAKE Sidney was slightly tense with a crouched body and wide eyes, but she was tolerant while I pet her, scanned her (-), collared her, positioned her for pictures, picked her up, and put her in a carrier. She didn’t resist or vocalize.
