08/07/17 13:12 Shy Lizzy is a brown tabby cat who was found in a hallway by herself. She was calm while in the finder’s home for a night and uses the litter bo well. She did not scratch on any furniture. Shy lizzy was curled up while in the back and shies away or flinches when touched but allowed all handling for collaring, scanning and photograph.

ACTIVITY LEVEL: Laid back VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Timid, Independent MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: 8/7/17- Subjective: Meows, allows all handling ENRICHMENT NOTES: 8/8/17- Curled up asleep in litter box. Took a long while to wake up when touched. Lay in place, soft posture, no real response. Sat up after door closed and started eating wet food. Seemed calm, just disinterested. EVALUATION: Cage Condition: No change Reaction to assessor: The cat remains neutral, lying down on her cage bedding with head up during the approach. Reaction to cage door opening: The cat remains immobile in place, squinting eyes, ears erect and forward. Reaction to touch: While accepting the stroke the cat ears flattened sideways with head down, she then slowly head bunts the assessor’s hand after slowly warming up. Her body remains stiff, but began to eat soft food when placed in front of her with no further interest to the touch. BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Shy Lizzy may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.

Scanned negative History : Stray, no hx available Subjective: Mews, allows all handling Objective BAR, estimated 8% dehydrated based on decreased skin turgor, BCS 4/9, MMs pink EENT: Eyes clear, moderate black granular discharge AU, shaking head frequently. Oral Exam: Hypersalivation, severe tartar and gingivitis. No nasal discharge noted. PLN: Not palpated H/L: NSR, NMA Lungs clear, eupnic ABD: Slightly tense, no masses palpated U/G: Female. Mammary mass associated with middle MG on the right mammary chain – firm, round, not ulcerated, approx 5 cm dia. MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities Rectal: Normal externally Assessment 1. Mammary mass 2. Likely ear mites 3. Severe dental disease 4. Dehydration – R/O secondary to dental disease and oral pain vs. mammary neoplasia vs. other undiagnosed disease process Prognosis – Poor to guarded. 90% of feline mammary tumors are malignant, and many have metastasized by the time the disease is diagnosed. In addition to a mammary tumor, this pt also has severe dental disease. Plan 1. LRS 300 ml SQ tonight 2. Hydromorphone 0.1 ml SQ q6 hours overnight 3. EHR should be strongly considered 1088
