11/06/16 Recheck diarrhea. O: BARH. Eating/drinking well, active and seeking out attention. mm=lt pink, moist. Soft, pudding-like feces in cage. No blood seen. ABD: Mild pot-bellied appearance. INTEG: Minimal feces on perineum and tail. Mild perianal erythema. SQ fluids present. A: Improving condition. Perianal area and hind limbs seem less irritated than reported from 2 days ago. GOOD PROGNOSIS 11/04/16 VC: Diarrhea on intake. S) Eating canned very well. Copious amounts of soft brown mucus diarrhea with blood in litter pan and covering back end of kitten. O) BAR. Moderate dehydration. New weight = 1.5 lbs – up 0.1. EENT: MM pk. E/N clr. MSI: Thin, BCS= 3/9. Soft bloody feces on tail, legs ands perineum. Abd: Pot bellied. A) Copious hematochezia soft diarrhea. Moderate dehydration. Fecal scald – perineum, tail, back legs. P) SQF 25 cc given, repeat daily x 2 days. Bath and place SSD oint lightly on irritated areas. Place daily tx. Did not place e-collar – did not want to inhibit eating. Placed re-check VC for next 2 days – check hydration and perineal area, +/- check if need oral meds for skin.
