SHEEBA – A0968398
Safe - 5-22-2017 Manhattan Rescue: Staten Island Hope Please honor your pledges: http://www.statenislandhopeanimalrescue.org/
*** SAFE 05/22/17 *** A volunteer writes: This sweet senior gal was as gentle as a kitty cat could be and she seemed to like slow pets and light conversation too. Not long after spending a little quality time with this snuggly girl, I found her nodded off, dreaming about designer blankets and 800 thread count sheets! But I bet what she dreams about most, is some love in a new home, from a new mom or dad. This black and white fluffer nutter would be a lovely companion to even the most independent of humans. And, with a face like Sheeba’s, there’s just NO turning away!

She has never spent time around children or dogs but lives with two other cats who she is respectful of. She plays a mixture of gently and exuberant with adults and doesn’t play with the other two resident cats. She has never bitten another animal or human. Sheeba has never been in a car but is relaxed when in her carrier on her owner’s bike. She has never been given a bath but enjoys brushing and tolerates having her nails clipped. She isn’t bothered when picked up and held, placed into a carrier, and awoken from her slumber. Sheeba is friendly, mellow, independent, and quiet. She has a low activity level and doesn’t really play with toys. When her owner is home, Sheeba follows him around when she’s hungry or hangs out on her favorite chair in the kitchen. She is kept indoors only and sleeps on the kitchen chair or her owner’s bed. She always uses her uncovered litterbox full of clumping litter. She scratches on the walls and doesn’t use her scratching post provided. She eats homemade wet food, a spoonful twice a day, with Purina dry food left out for when she wants to eat. She loves her homemade food made from chicken liver and minced meat. On intake, Sheeba allowed counselor to pick her up, collar, and place her into a new carrier.

PREVIOUS INFO:
A volunteer wrote: Mary is a 9 year old gal who has a unique, old-lady meow. She busts out the meow as soon as she sees her human friends, and she makes a beeline to the front of her cage to get much loved head rubs. Mary also loves wet food. But mostly she would love to be a forever home. Please consider helping this sweet girl (and her pal Jane/A0968400) get a chance to be furry companion again.
