Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Shawn was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. He had a soft body upon intake and sought out attention from the counselors. He allowed all handling throughout the intake process and during his initial medical exam. Reaction to Assessor: Shawn was calm and relaxed, lying down upon approach. Reaction when softly spoken to: Shawn looks at the assessor and meows softly. Reaction to cage door opening: Shawn remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Shawn meows, and then comes to the front and head-butts. He leans into petting and begins to purr. He was very affectionate throughout the interaction. Reaction to being picked up: Shawn remains calm and purrs when held. Placement Determination: Beginner Shawn interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. No known history of behavioral problems. This cat can go to a beginner home.
