Shakira is a domestic short hair cat who is being surrendered due to her previous owner not having the time to care for her.
Around strangers Shakira is friendly, shy and plays gently with adults. Shakira has never been around children or dogs so it is unknown how she will react to being around them. Shakira has lived with several other cats who she was relaxed and affectionate around.
Shakira has never bitten another person or animal and showed no behavior issues at home. Shakira is relaxed when riding in a car. Shakira’s previous owner did not has not attempted to give Shakira a bath in the past two years so it is unknown how she will react to those events. Shakira enjoys having her nails trimmed, her coat brushed, being picked up/held, placed in a carrier and doesn’t mind being disturbed while resting/sleeping.
For a New Family to know:
Shakira is described as friendly, shy and quiet with a medium activity level. When at home Shakira will stay in a favorite spot and is not interested in toys. Shakira was kept indoors only and was fed wet and dry food. Shakira is litter box trained and used an uncovered litter box with clumping litter. Shakira was not given a scratching post and she did not attempt to scratch anything in her home.
