Shaila came to the shelter as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment. According to finder, Shaila allowed all handling. Reaction to assessor: Shaila is sitting mid-cage, soft and relaxed. Reaction when softly spoken to: Shaila looks at the assessor. Reaction to cage door opening: Shaila stands and approaches the assessor. Reaction to touch: Shaila leans into petting and begins to purr. Reaction to pick up: Shaila is calm, purring during this type of handling. Placement Determination: Beginner Shaila approaches the assessor, solicits petting and attention and allows all handling. Shaila is exhibiting behavior suited to beginning cat parents.
