ENRICHMENT NOTES:
03/23/17
Pressed up against the back wall of the kennel. Turns and makes eye contact when spoken to softly. Wary of surroundings. Eyes wide and focused. Sniffs hand and allows petting on head gently. Slowly starts to relax, likes tuna filet. Got startled when a staff member entered the room. Started lip licking and eyes were fixated on them. Took a few minutes to relax.

03/24/17
Went to Glendale for surgery.
03/25/17
Curled up tight in litter box, tries to avoid eye contact. Sinks in lower when spoken to softly. Allows petting but is tense and doesn’t really react to it. Tried coaxing forward with treats but was unsuccessful. Eventually turned towards me and started slow blinking. Allowed me to rub her cheeks and head. Nervous girl, needs time to adjust.
03/26/17
Resting in box and does not respond when spoken to. Becomes stiff and alert when door opens, looking around with wide eyes. Ears tilt when pet, but tolerate touch all over. Seems to like cheek rubs, her eyes will soften, but she becomes alert again with sudden noise and lip licks. Timid cat, but really sweet. Will do best in a calm and quiet home.
03/27/17
Lying down, seems more calm and relaxed today. Her eyes will occasionally widen with sudden noise, but they are generally softer today. Doesn’t mind when pet, leaning in for cheek and chin rubs. Slightly tense body. Will come forward and sniff around, small progress! Sniffs treats, but only eats after I pet her some more.
