07/30/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Seaking was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. Reaction to assessor: Seaking was curled up and hiding inside his feral den. Reaction when softly spoken to: Seaking makes eye contact from within the den but doesn’t come out. Reaction to cage door opening: Seaking remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Seaking shifts away from contact and looks around at his surroundings. He tolerates petting and closes his eyes when pet along his body. His body is tense/ stiff and slowly moves away and faces the wall. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Seaking tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his or her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
