KNOWN HISTORY:Scamp was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: friendly EVALUATION: Cage Condition: Cage is neat Reaction to assessor: Scamp is laying in his kennel in a neutral body position. Reaction when softly spoken to: Scamp looks at the assessor. His ears tilt forwards and his eyes dialate. Reaction to cage door opening: Scamp moves to the other side of his kennel. Reaction to touch: Scamp appears very calm. At first, he remains motionless while being pet. After a short period of time, Scamp seems to warm up and leans in for chin rubs. He comes forward and puts his head down to be pet. He closes his eyes while leaning in for chin rubs and starts to purr. Reaction to being picked up: Scamp allows to be picked up. He meows a couple of times while being held and looks back into his kennel. After going back into his kennel, Scamp lays down in a neutral position and leans in for more chin rubs. ACTIVITY LEVEL: Laid back VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Shy, Sweet, Easy going BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Click here if Beginner or Average. Average- Scamp interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
