06/15/17 15:15 Basic Information: Savvy is a calico 10 years old spayed female cat. She was surrendered due to personal housing issues. She has no known injuries or health problems. Socialization: She was friendly around strangers. She played gently with adults and children. She was respectful towards the other cats in the home. She has no bite history. Behavior: It is not known how she will react during a car ride. She struggled during baths. She was afraid of getting her nails trims. She enjoyed getting her fur brushed. She was not bothered by being picked up and held. She struggled while going inside of carriers. For a New Family to Know: She was described as a friendly and affectionate cat. Her activitiy level was medium. She played with toys such as balls, string, wand toys and really enjoyed the laser pointer. She was kept mostly indoors. She slept anywhere she wanted. She was very house trained and had an uncovered litter box filled with clay. She had a vertical scratching post. During Intake: She allowed the admissions counselor to transfer her from the carrier to the cage.

MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: Observed Behavior – Allows all handling, curious EVALUATION: Cage Condition: Cage is neat Reaction to assessor: Savvy was lying down, calm and relaxed. Reaction when softly spoken to: Savvy presses his head against the cage door and starts to knead. Reaction to cage door opening: Savvy retreats into her cubby, but would come back to the front. Reaction to touch: Savvy sniffs the assessor’s hand and head-butts gently. She leans in for cheek rubs and begins to purr. The end of her tail will sway lightly at times, but she does not show any signs of overstimulation. Reaction to being picked up: Savvy remains calm and allows handling. ACTIVITY LEVEL: Moderate VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Social, Sweet, Calm BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Average Savvy interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting.
