SAVANNAH – A1090637
Gone - 9-25-2016 Manhattan
***GONE 09/25/16***THE EXCUSES BY THESE INCOMPETENT OWNER’S ARE TRULY EXHAUSTING TO HEAR! The story of 2 year old SAVANNAH started by being gifted to the owners. So an accident occurred, where a picture frame fell on this adorable girl and from that point on(or at least, THE MEASLY 3 DAYS THEY GAVE HER), she became irate and would try to attack when the owner would enter the room. Well of course she would! She has no comprehension of an “accident!!!” They gave “NO TIME” to this problem and used that very excuse for dumping her at a HIGH KILL SHELTER! To make matters worse, she’s been given a fear-engineered rating of RESCUE ONLY! PLEASE, give SAVANNAH A CHANCE! CONTACT A NEW HOPE RESCUE AND GIVE THIS GIRL SOME TIME! Who know…maybe it’s just the previous owner that she hated…with good reason! Give her a chance to prove that an accident wasn’t HER accident!

09/24/16 15:47 Savannah is a 2 year old female DSH cat. Her family received her as a gift and relinquished her because she was trying to attack them for 3 days. This began when a picture frame fell and her owner ran over to make sure Savannah was ok. She has never tried to attack anyone before this. When they try to enter the room Savannah is in, she rushes up to them and growls and attempts to swat at them.

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Savannah looks tense, hiding in the cat den when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Savannah stiffens up in place, alert with eyes dilated. Reaction to touch: Savannah does not allow the stroke, hisses, and growls at the assessor’s hand. Placement determination: NH ONLY Savannah is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room. She is stressed in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
