A volunteer writes: I met Saturday this Saturday and found her to be ready, willing and able to be loved, despite being a senior citizen among all those young, beautiful little girls and handsome boy kitties who attract a lot of attention. So what’s an older, more mature woman to do? Well, for one thing, Saturday is a pretty cat with a lovely face. But her most important quality is her serene disposition. She is easy to pick up and pet, and would love to be pampered and fussed over. Another volunteer writes: Saturday is a very pretty kitty with a nice personality, shy and sweet to the touch. She doesn’t belong in a shelter, and should be living in a home with loving cat guardians who appreciate her and give her lots of soft food and kitty treats. Oh, and a soft kitty bed to sleep on! Another volunteer writes: I was dismayed to find that Saturday is back in “town” again! I got to know her last month, and after interacting with her again today, I think that this mature lady needs a very special cat guardian who is willing to give her some time and space to get adjusted to a new home. Saturday looks for affection, but she is slow to trust. She isn’t the kind of cat who is going to come home and jump right up in your lap. She will need time and lots of patient, loving care. She can be coaxed to accept the gentle touch she so clearly needs, but only little by little. Take it slow, and this lovely lady’s heart will be yours, all yours. |
