8/13/16 13:32 Basic information: Sassy A1085252 Spot A1085253 and Garfield A1085254 are all domestic short hair mixes. The owner surrendered Sassy, Spot and Garfield because she is moving out of state. The owner has never taken Sassy, Spot and Garfield to a vet. Socialization: The owner states that around strangers Sassy, Spot and Garfield are shy and usually hide from strangers. Sassy, Spot and Garfield have never been around children. They have lived with each other most of their lived and get along very well with them self’s. They have never bitten or scratched anyone. Behavior: Sassy, Spot and Garfield has never been bathed, had their nails trimmed. They do not mind having their coats brushed but hates being picked up and being placed in a cat carrier (they will struggle with the person). For a new family to know: The owner describes Sassy, Spot and Garfield shy and fearful cat with a medium activity level. They played with string cat toys; they lives mostly indoors and sleeps anywhere in the house that they want. In the home Sassy, Spot and Garfield will follow the owner around and prefers to stay in same room as the owner. Sassy, Spot and Garfield eat name brand dry cat food and are open fed. They are litter box trained and uses an uncovered litter box with clumping litter. They have never been given a scratching post so the owner does not know if Sassy, Spot and Garfield will use it or not. Behavior during intake: During intake Sassy, Spot and Garfield were very tense with stiff bodies, they allowed us to scan (-) put on collar, photographed (in the kennel, due to the cats attempting to flee) and placed in separate cat kennels.

The former owner stated that around strangers Sassy usually hides from strangers. She has never been around children. Sassy has lived with two other cats and they got along very well with eachother. Reaction to assessor: Sassy looks tense, crouched position at the back when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Sassy becomes alert with eyes wide open, immobile in place. Reaction to touch: Sassy allows the stroke, but remains stiff in place while she lip licks. Placement determination: Experience Sassy tolerates attention and petting, but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
