**SAFE 07/01/16**BEGINNER-rated SANTINO has a sad history of being ABUSED BY CHILDREN, and yet he did earn that BEGINNER rating. This must be an AMAZING kitty, only about 2 years old and the subject of loving volunteer comments: “A volunteer writes: “Fantastically confident, cuddly and elegant, this dreamsicle-colored saint is all over you. First, this mischievous scamp will scatter his kibble about. Then he’s all over you — climbing up your shoulder and rubbing against your face. Finally, he sits back as regal as a sphinx to assess his impact. Hurry over for this charmer — he’ll win you over in a few seconds flat.”” His shelter notes suggest that he is a little “worried” at the moment, and frankly, anyone looking at his picture should be A LOT WORRIED. Santino might be the first cat they decide to kill tomorrow, so it is vitally important that a foster/adopter be found for him tonight!

06/13/16 10:33 Santino A1077273 is a young neutered male orange tabby & white DSH feline that is being surrendered along with his “brother/friend” Salvatore A1077272 a young neutered male brown tabby DSH feline due to being found wandering the building of the finder’s residence for the past month. Neighbors (including them) have been feeding the duo but thought it best for them to be brought in as they can’t have animals in their home and kids/teens from the building are said to have been abusing them (& other cats they come across). The finder stated both Santino & Salvatore are friendly and love to eat. During intake Santino allowed all handling. He’s a nice boy that seems to be a little nervous/shy at the moment. Santino allowed to be scanned (-), collared & taken pictures of including positioning him during his photo session, it took me a few tries to get a picture of him as he kept trying to run off the backdrop or looking over/down the side (perhaps for an escape route off the table). Santino didn’t seem to mind being picked up/held and was placed into a kennel with ease.
