09/22/16 10:59 Finder did not have any interaction with Sangria as animal was in a trap. Finder did state he did not hear any hissing or growling coming from the animal. Behavior during intake: Sangria was nervous and at the back of the trap during intake. I was able to transfer from trap to den without any issues. Sangria went to the back of the den right away and when I tried opening the den door, animal started squishing into the back of the den and lip licking.

Sangria came to the shelter as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment. Upon intake, Sangria was nervous. Reaction to assessor: Sangria is at the back of the cage, curled up. Reaction when softly spoken to: Sangria looks at assessor, tense. Reaction to cage door opening: Sangria is tense, nervous. Reaction to touch: Sangria shifts away to avoid touch and looks for an exit, but allows limited petting. Placement Determination: Experience No Child Sangria does not approach the assessor, seemed nervous, and avoided handling. Sangria is exhibiting behavior suited to experienced cat parents with no children and will require additional adjustment time in a home environment.
