Salt is a friendly and outgoing cat who is always seen walking around and exploring his home. He’s spent time around young children and was respectful and affectionate with them. He plays gently with both adults and kids and loves spending time with his brother, Pepper. They play gently with each other and usually are snuggling or cleaning one another. He’s lived with one other dog, a Pomeranian and German Shepherd mix who he was respectful and tolerant of. When the dog was sniffing too much, Salt would just place his paws up gently on the dog’s face to let him know to back off. He has never bitten another animal or human.
In the car, Salt is more comfortable in a carrier and usually relaxes and sleeps. He isn’t bothered when getting a bath or getting his nails trimmed but will meow a lot. He loves being brushed and held and doesn’t mind being placed in a carrier or when awoken from his slumber.
Salt’s owner describes him as friendly, affectionate, and attention-seeking. His owner loves that he’s able to open the bathroom door so he can go potty in his litterbox. He has a medium activity level but when he’s ready to play, enjoys string and silky objects. He also loves dancing with his owner and getting rubbed. When his owner is home, Salt usually follows her around initially but then hangs out in the same room. He’s kept indoors only and enjoys sleeping in his owner’s bed. He’s litterbox trained and only goes in his hooded litterbox filled with clumping or crystal litter (with a tad bit of baking soda for the smell). He will go outside the litterbox if it is extremely dirty. Salt used to have a scratching post that he enjoyed using but since he no longer has it, has been taking to scratching up furniture, especially anything made of wood or leather. He’s fed a handful of dry Friskies food and a can of tuna, once a day. He loves his salt of the earth treats.
