06/28/2017 PET PROFILE MEMO
06/28/17 09:06 Sally Ride was brought to ACC after someone noticed their neighbor putting her outside after they moved. She stayed in the finder’s home for two days. She was left in the bedroom and did not interact with the resident dog and two cats. She vocalized a lot on the first day, but then began to warm up after she was used to her surroundings. She ate dry cat food and used the shredded paper that was provided as a litter box. She allowed both the super and the finder to handle her and place her in the carrier. She did struggle and vocalize, but did not attempt to bite/scratch. During intake, Sally Ride was very vocal in the carrier. She walked out of the carrier into the cage with no issues and began to hide in the back. She allowed the counselor to pet her when approached slowly. She head rubbed back and began to relax and come towards the counselor for more petting. She purred and rubbed against the microchip scanner when scanned (-) and would eat wet food only while receiving touch. Any time she was not near a person, she would begin to hide.
