07/28/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – AVERAGE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Sally came to the shelter as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment. Upon intake, Sally was relaxed and allowed all handling. Reaction to assessor: Sally stretches and approaches the assessor. Reaction when softly spoken to: Sally stays in the front, soft body language. Reaction to cage door opening: Sally remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Sally solicits petting and attention. Reaction to pick up: Sally meows but allows this type of handling. Placement Determination: Average Sally interacts with the assessor, solicits attention and tolerates all petting. Sally is exhibiting behavior suited to average cat parents, but may need additional adjustment time to a new home environment. Please be advised that Sally is pregnant at the time of assessment, and the behavior presented at the time of evaluation may differ when pregnancy is complete due to a change in hormonal balance.
