SALLIE – A1084738

***GONE 08/13/16*** CANARSIE KITTENS CALLIE AND SALLIE WERE TRAPPED AND DUMPED IN THE ACC – NOW THIS DUO WILL DIE BECAUSE THEY ARE AFRAID! Someone in zip code 11236 set a trap for CALLIE and SALLIE and disposed of them in the ACC. A normal person who finds a kitten or two would try and find them a home. But as usual, it’s always easier to dump a cat in a kill shelter and walk away “hoping” the shelter will do it’s job. The ACC for some reason just cannot find homes for even kittens. CALLIE and SALLIE are perfectly healthy but only afraid. Even Jackson Galaxy had started a program in the shelter to socialize cats so they can be adopted. Did they forget about this? Did they even try? Or did CALLIE and SALLIE get warehoused until their stray hold was up so they didn’t have to bother and just fast track them to the kill list. You already know the answer to all these questions and as despicable as it is, the only thing now is to find a foster or adopter for these 4 month old kittens. CALLIE AND SALLIE are healthy, and with patience and kindness can be the best two kittens in the whole world to someone special. WHO IS WILLING TO BE THAT SPECIAL PURRSON TO GIVE CALLIE AND SALLIE A HOME AND A CHANCE FOR A HAPPILY EVER AFTER? CONTACT A RESCUE NOW TO SAVE THEM. THEIR LIVES HAVE ONLY UNTIL 12 NOON SATURDAY. EMAIL [email protected] FOR RESCUE INFO.

08/12/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Sallie was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. Reaction to assessor: Sallie was motionless at the front of the kennel with ear’s bent flat and wide eyes focused on the assessor. Reaction when softly spoken to: Sallie lip licks and starts to tremble when spoken to softly. Reaction to cage door opening: Sallie remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Sallie retreats to the back of the kennel and curls up in a ball when you approach him. His body is tense/stiff and he starts to breathe heavily when touched along his body. He tolerates petting and slowly turns his head away from contact. Reaction to being picked up: Sallie is very tense when held, lip licks and leaps away back into the kennel. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Sallie tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his or her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
