SAINT – A1085305
Gone - 8-18-2016 Brooklyn
***GONE 08/18/16*** PERFECTLY HEALTHY SAINT NEEDS AN ANGEL TONIGHT TO KEEP HIM FROM HIS DOOM TOMORROW AFTERNOON IN THE ACC! This very handsome boy was brought into the shelter as a stray. He allowed the staff to handle him, collar him, and take his picture! Sadly, when he realized he was then going to be stuffed into a little cage and be poked and prodded by the vet techs, SAINT was realizing this was not a great place after all. SAINT is about 3 years old and VERY handsome. He was hissing and trying to flee from the assessor and was punished with a New Hope rating. We all know that New Hope ratings are so unfair as they only measure the fear a cat has INSIDE the shelter and not their true purrsonality in a home. SAINT will most likely be just fine once he is given a chance to decompress and adjust after having his entire world turned upside down. BE A SAINT TONIGHT!! CONTACT A NEW HOPE RESCUE NOW TO ASK TO ADOPT OR FOSTER SAINT – THE HANDSOME TUXIE BOY. YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT AND YOU WILL SAVE A LIFE!! ACT NOW- THERE IS NO TIME LEFT!!

08/16/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Saint was hiding in the cat den When spoken quietly: Saint hissed and continued to hide in the cat den Reaction to door cage opening: Saint becomes stiff, alert Reaction to touch: Saint hisses, tries to flee and does not allows petting at all Try picking cat up: Did not attempt Behavior Determination: NewHope Saint was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. Saint seems to not be thriving in this environment and at the time of the assessment he was displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room. Saint may require further investigation before placement in a home. He has tried to flee and extremely fearful. Saint currently does not tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
