DIED 10/18/17 SAGWA was brought in as a stray and was coughing and sneezing and was lethargic. She is about a year and a half old and needs some TLC and a home.

History : Stray, was apparently coughing/sneezing/lethargic for the last few days, with no appetite. Did not eat this morning.
Subjective: QAR, lying down, doesn’t get up during exam
Observed Behavior – Allows all handling, soft body
Objective
QAR, BCS 4/9
EENT: Moderate purulent nasal discharge, clean eyes and ears.
Oral Exam: Clean adult teeth
H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic
ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated
U/G: Female presumed intact, no spay scar palpated
MSI: Matted fur and blood on left lateral thorax – cannot tell what is underneath. Large amount of flea dirt. No masses noted.
CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities
Rectal: Normal externally.
Assessment:
1. URI
2. Flea dirt – blood or wound on thorax, R/O self-trauma from scratching vs. wound vs. other
Prognosis: Good
Plan:
1. Shave, clip and clean thorax
2. Simbadol 0.25 ml SQ once today
3. Doxycycline 0.4 ml PO SID x10 days
4. Nebulize BID x5 days
5. LRS 100 ml and 0.25 ml vit B12 SQ given after exam today
6. LRS 100 ml SQ SID x4 more days
