***SAFE 05/10/16*** BETRAYED! Poor Ryan has lived with the same person since he was a bottle baby. Now at 8 years old, this neutered boy finds himself next in line for the DEATH SENTENCE TOMORROW AT NOON! He was dumped off at the shelter because his ex-owner has “no time for him”. How is it possible that after 8 years, you suddenly have no time for handsome Ryan? Outrageous! Ryan is upset at the sudden change in his environment and routine, and understandably so! He’s been given an EXPNOCHILD rating, but surely once offered a stable home and a loving hand this 18 pound boy can relax again. Could YOU be the new friend he needs so desperately? Please save his life, reach out for him TONIGHT!

05/06/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Ryan’s former owner stated he is best described as friendly, affectionate and sweet. Reaction to assessor: Ryan looks tense, crouched down on his cage bedding when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Ryan remains in place, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Ryan accepts a brief touch on the head, but becomes agitated then hisses and attempts to swat at the assessor’s hand. Placement determination: Experience / no child Ryan tolerates attention and petting but may be stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
