07/14/16 16:32 BASIC INFO Roxie A0885579 is a 6 year old domestic shorthair cat. She is being surrendered to the shelter because the owner has personal problems. Roxie was adopted from ACCNYC about 4 years ago. Roxie appears to have a fleas that she will need to be treated for. SOCIALIZATION Roxie is friendly with strangers. Roxie has lived with 2 other cats and she got along well with them. Roxie plays gently with adults and kids alike. Roxie lived with a 5 year old child and she was friendly and respectfull towards the child. Roxie has never scratched or bitten anyone. BEHAVIOR Roxie does not have any behavior issues. She allows you to pick her up and place her in a carrier. She is not bothered if disturbed out of her sleep. FOR A NEW FAMILY TO KNOW Roxie is best described as friendly, affectionate and playful. She has a high activity level. When home, she follows you around. She did get out of the house for a few days, but came back. She enjoys playing with balls. Roxie uses a regular litter box and is fed Purina Cat Chow. She uses a cardboard scratching post to scratch on. BEHAVIOR DURING INTAKE Roxie allowed all handling, collaring and photos.

As per previous owner, Roxie is friendly with strangers. Roxie has lived with two other cats and she got along well with them. Roxie plays gently with adults and children. Roxie lived with a five year old child. She was friendly and respectful towards the child. Roxie is best described as friendly, affectionate and playful. She has a high activity level. Reaction to assessor: Roxie does not come to front but looks at you calm and relaxed When spoken quietly: Roxie comes to the front of cage and sniffs the assessor through the cage door Reaction to door cage opening: Roxie remains soft and relaxed Reaction to touch: Roxie solicits petting and attention but does not like to be touched on her cheek due to old injuries healing there. Try picking cat up: Roxie is not tolerant of this type of handling. She growled and hissed when attempt to pick up. Roxie goes back to seeking attention when she placed back in the kennel. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child At the time of the assessment Roxie was displaying friendly behavior, comes to the front of the kennel, interacts with the Assessor and solicits attention. Roxie has old injuries on her cheek and does not like being touched there. Roxie also does not like to be picked up. Roxie is displaying behavior appropriate for a experienced cat owner with no children.
