SANDMAN & BELLS are the parents of the kittens. JACK tested FELV positive but everyone else tested negative. It’s recommended for JACK to be retested again in 3 months.

DVM Intake Exam
Estimated age: 3 months based on dentition and weight of litter
Microchip noted on Intake? Scanned negative on intake – MC placed during exam
History : Abandoned in an apartment with both parents and two littermates. Kittens are still nursing. One littermate is FeLV positive.
Observed Behavior – Allows all handling
Evidence of Cruelty seen – None
Evidence of Trauma seen – None
BAR-H, MMs pink and moist, BCS 5/9
EENT: Eyes clear, ears clean, no nasal or ocular discharge noted
Oral Exam: Clean teeth, one adult incisor coming in; all other teeth deciduous
PLN: No enlargements noted
H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic
ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated
U/G: Male intact kitten
MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat
CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities
Rectal: Normal externally
Assessment: Apparently healthy 3 month old kitten, but littermate is FeLV pos – R/O maternal antibodies vs. recent exposure vs. false pos
Plan: Neuter, adopt. Retest for FeLV at 6 months.
