He had a small wound behind one ear but since he caught the shelter germs they have decided to just do away with this handsome guy. Our enrichment facilitator has interacted with Rocky and at the time he was rolling around in litter box trying to rub neck. Rocky allowed petting all over and comes to the front lightly head butting hand. Reaction to assessor: Rocky was at the front of the cage rolling around When spoken quietly: Rocky stays at front and continues soliciting attention Reaction to door cage opening: Rocky remains soft & relaxed Reaction to touch: Rocky solicits petting and attention Try picking cat up: Rocky is tolerant of this type of handling. Behavior Determination: Average Rocky was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment he was displaying friendly behavior, stays at the front of the kennel, interacts with the assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Rocky is displaying behavior appropriate for a new or experince cat owner.
