*** SAFE 09/16/16 *** OWNER ARRESTED, ROCHELLE LEFT BEHIND…..A tragic tale for little ROCHELLE….thankfully a neighbor fed her for 10 days but then sadly took her to the ACC….Only a year old, ROCHELLE has stunning good looks! And she’s the playful sort….but may be a little boisterous and could play best with wand or fishing pole toys to tire her out…..
ROCHELLE is not yet spayed and she has not been around children. She has a high activity level and needs a home that can provide that and keep her stimulated…IF YOU ARE THE PURRSON TO ROCK ROCHELLE’S WORLD, APPLY TO FOSTER OR ADOPT NOW…..Email [email protected] if you need assistance….

08/30/2016 PET PROFILE MEMO
08/30/16 17:00 Basic Information Rochelle is a 1 year old female Tortie who was left behind in an apartment after an arrest. Finder fed her for about 10 days. She was friendly towards him. She would rub her body on his leg every time he came to visit. She was never around any children. Finder stated she struggled a little when he placed her in the carrier. Behavior during Intake Rochelle tolerated all handling during intake. After I collared her and took her picture she went back into one of our carriers herself. She did not display any signs of aggression.

09/02/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Rochelle looks neutral, sitting upright by the front soliciting attention when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Rochelle stands at the front of the cage, relaxed body posture, alert with eyes wandering. Reaction to touch: Rochelle leans into the pets, but becomes agitated with the touch then began to gently nip and raises paw in attempt to box at the assessor’s hand. Placement determination: Experience / no child Rochelle is social and affectionate, but appears to be easily overstimulated and plays roughly. As a result of this observed behavior we recommend adopters who are familiar with signs of behavioral arousal and agitation in cats, so that interactions can be ended before Rochelle becomes overstimulated. We also recommend fishing pole-type toys for play as they allow for interaction and vigorous, stimulating exercise while keeping human hands at a distance.
