***SAFE 07/18/16*** RINGO NEEDS YOU TONIGHT BADLY! THIS FRIGHTENED CAT MAY WELL HAVE BEEN ABUSED OR IS PAIN! THE ACC notes on RINGO are confusing. ‘May be in early stages of pregnancy-needs abdominal x ray.’ Do you think they did that? NO! They stuck this friendly, but frightened to death little girl of a year on the kill list! She meowed to them for help ‘Reaction when softly spoken to: Ringo turns around, makes eye contact with the assessor and cries out softly. Reaction to cage door opening: Ringo lip licks and looks around at her surroundings. Reaction to touch: Ringo closes her eyes when pet along her body and continues to lip lick. She leans in for rubs and hisses when touched along her body but doesn’t lash out. Her body is tense and she kicks the assessors hand away when attempting to pick her up.’ If this isn’t a cat that has something going on and needs help, who is? RINGO depends on the kindness of strangers, she is protecting her abdomen, her sensitive, vulnerable area, from more pain. RINGO needs you tonight. She needs you to help her, to say ‘yes, sweetheart, let me make life better for you.’ Please save this little girl who looks as though she’s been mistreated and love her….help her….don’t let her be killed and know only pain. SAVE RINGO TONIGHT!

07/15/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Ringo was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. Reaction to assessor: Ringo was resting at the back of the kennel in her litter box. Reaction when softly spoken to: Ringo turns around, makes eye contact with the assessor and cries out softly. Reaction to cage door opening: Ringo lip licks and looks around at her surroundings. Reaction to touch: Ringo closes her eyes when pet along her body and continues to lip lick. She leans in for rubs and hisses when touched along her body but doesn’t lash out. Her body is tense and she kicks the assessors hand away when attempting to pick her up. Behavior Determination: Experience No Children Ringo tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his or her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
