RINGO – A1068486
Safe - 4-5-2016 Brooklyn
**SAFE 04/05/16**Gorgeous male orange and white tabby cat seeking home and some TLC! RINGO is a cutie! He’s only 1 year old and was brought into the shelter as a stray. He has an abscess on his shoulder that is healing nicely but needs follow up treatment to make sure it’s healing well. He enjoys being pet, except on his shoulder, which hurts because of the abscess. He’s generally a friendly guy. He’s relaxed, but doesn’t enjoy the medical handling. It’s probably a bit painful for him, so that’s quite understandable! RINGO is relaxed in his cage and allows all petting, even meowing to say hi! RINGO would be great in an experienced pet home where he can get the medical attention and TLC he needs. Please don’t let this barely-out of kittenhood gem of a cat die tomorrow by lethal injection! Give RINGO a home and he will be furr-ever grateful!

04/03/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Ringo has shown a range of behaviors at the care center, possibly as a result of his medical condition and treatment. Occasionally growly when approached, he responds well when petted and given attention. He may need a slow approach and may become agitated by medical handling, but otherwise has remained social and interactive. We feel he will do best with experienced cat parents who will allow him to warm up to his new home and new family at his own pace. 3/29 eval: Please note that Ringo is being treated for a wound at the time of the behavior assessment. This condition may affect some of the behaviors shown during evaluation. Reaction to assessor: Ringo does not come to front but looks at you calm and relaxed When spoken quietly: Ringo does not come to front but looks at you calm and relaxed Reaction to door cage opening: Ringo remains calm Reaction to touch: Ringo meows when touched and allows all petting Try picking cat up: Did not attempt due to abscess. Behavior Determination: Average At the time of the assessment Ringo was displaying calm behavior, did not come to the front of the kennel but interacts with the Assessor, appreciates attention, and tolerates all petting. Ringo is displaying behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
