Hello, my name is Ricky. My animal id is #15924. I am a male black kitten at the Staten Island Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 3 months 1 weeks old. – P
I came into the shelter as a stray on 11-Dec-2017.
Ricky 15924 is at risk due to being diagnosed with an Upper Respiratory Infection and will likely require home rest and a series of antibiotics for up to 14 days. This is a contagious illness to other cats. Ricky has no behavior concerns.

Bar Scan negative Male ~ 4 months old Eye discharge Nasal discharge. Lethargic , moderate dehydrated. Had diarrhea. Founder stated and assumed the kitten got some rodenticide. As per Dr.1027 RX Doxycycline 0.2 ml X 10 Erythromycin BID for both eye. Simbadol 0.05 ml S/Q for once LRS 20 ml S/Q for now until seen by DVM.
[DVM Intake] DVM Intake Exam Estimated age: 3 months History : stray Subjective: Observed Behavior – trying to flee; observed eating some canned food in kennel Evidence of Cruelty seen – no Evidence of Trauma seen -no Objective BCS 3-4/9 EENT: OU-slight greenish discharge, ears clean, purulent nasal discharge Oral Exam: deciduous teeth; slight ulcerations seen at edge of tongue PLN: No enlargements noted H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupneic ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated U/G: M, no testicles palpated MSI: Ambulatory x 4, flea dirt, no masses noted, crusted debris on fur at limbs CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities Assessment nasal discharge, oral ulcerations- R/O URI vs other conjunctivitis underweight fleas suspect cryptorchid Prognosis:fair Plan: Wood’s lamp: negative; started fungal culture on 12/18/17 start doxycycline 11 mg PO SID x 10 days start erythromycin OU BID x 7 days gave simbadol 0.12 mls SQ (x) gave capstar PO (x) gave 20mls LRS SQ (x) SURGERY: Temporary waiver due to URI
