ACTIVITY LEVEL: Mellow VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Calm, Sweet, Independent MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: 5/3/17- Observed Behavior – friendly initially but started growling, hissing with more handling ENRICHMENT NOTES: 5/4/17- Large wound between shoulder blades, diarrhea. In feral den, peeking out through door. Pulled head in when spoken to, started hissing and growling. EVALUATION: Cage Condition: No change Reaction to assessor: Richie looked neutral, crouched position at the front when approached. Reaction to cage door opening: Richie remains immobile in place, alert with soft eyes. Reaction to touch: Richie stands tall with tail up and leans into the assessor’s hand. Reaction to being picked up: Richie allowed the pickup and remained calm. BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Average Richie interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
