07/25/17 10:37 Rhody was brought inside a box. Rhody was scared and curled up in a corner. Counselour was able to grab kitten for picture but tried to run away. He scanned negative for microchip. Rhody also came in with a runny nose.

ACTIVITY LEVEL: Laid back VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Shy, Sweet ENRICHMENT NOTES: 7/26/17 Crouched in litter box, head down, eyes dilate. Flinched when first touched, then held completely immobile when pet. 7/27/17 Resting on bedding, eyes a little dilated, but soft body. Lay in place when door opened, lifted head to sniff and slowly start eating treats. Leaned and arched into pets purred, rolled all the way over. Sat calmly when held. EVALUATION: Cage Condition: No change Reaction to assessor: Rhody remains neutral, lying down on her cage bedding during the approach. Reaction to door opening: Rhody remains in place, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Rhody accepts the touch then slowly leans into the assessor’s hand and purrs. Reaction to being picked up: Allows the pickup then calmly walks back into the cage. BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Rhody interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat can go to a beginner home.
