07/15/2017 PET PROFILE MEMO
07/15/17 12:56 Basic Information: Rain is a 2 year old, female domestic short haired cat. She found this cat on her mother’s fire escape during a rain storm. This cat has not been to the vet before but there are no known injuries or health problems. Socialization: Around strangers Rain is friendly but a little fearful. The owner’s 4 year old daughter was in the house most of the week and Rain adored her and was very affectionate towards her. Around adults and children she’s very gentle when playing. Rain lived her a 7 month old kitten and was respectful but at times fearful. She doesn’t play with the cats too much. She has never bitten another animal or human before. Behavior: Rain tends to have litter box accidents and hides in fear. She has never been in a car before so it is unknown how she’ll react. She has litter box accidents a few times a week and urinates right outside the box. It happened within the past month estimated around the time Rain got pregnant. She’s never given Rain a bath and has never tried to trim her nails, although she loves to be brushed. She gets skittish and afraid once someone attempts to pick her up or putting her in the carrier. She isn’t bothered being woken up or disturbed while sleeping. For a New Family to Know: Rain is described as friendly and affectionate with her daughter but when she’s not around she’s a bit shy and fearful at times. This cat has a very low to medium energy level. She’s not big on toys and doesn’t really play with them and her favorite activity is sleeping. Since previous owner has had Rain she stated she mainly stayed inside. She mainly eats dry food and loves 9 Lives chewy cat treats. At night she snuggles up with client’s 4 year old daughter when she sleeps. That’s her favorite part about Rain is that she’s so affectionate and respectful towards her daughter. Rain is litterbox trained but tends to have an occasional accident right outside the box. She uses an uncovered litterbox with clumping litter. This cat doesn’t use a scratching post because they claim she doesn’t scratch anything. Behavior During Intake: Rain had very dialated eyes, tense body curled up in the carrier. She allowed me to scan her for a mircochip (which was negative). When I opened the carrier she was quick to run and find an escape but eventually let me take a picture of her.
