07/08/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Taste was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his/her behavior in his/her previous home. Reaction to assessor: Taste was relaxed on his blanket near the front of the kennel. Reaction when softly spoken to: Taste meows softly, comes forward and lightly rubs up against the kennel door. Reaction to cage door opening: Taste is calm and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Taste allows petting all over and lightly rubs up against the assessor for attention. His tail starts to shake and he is very affectionate. Reaction to being picked up: Taste allows limited handling before he hisses and gets antsy to be put down. When placed down he comes back to the front seeking attention. Behavior Determination: Experience Taste tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents. Taste allows limited handling so please conduct a thorough interaction if you’re looking to adopt him to a family with young children.
